Thursday Club Business Meetings and Projects The meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month starting at 6:00pm, followed by a carving project. Note: Safety gloves and thumb guards are required to participate in club workshops. If you are a beginner, please contact the instructor or one of the board members to determine the level of the carving project. We need volunteers to lead carving projects each month.  Please let us know if you have a project you would like to share with the group. Sure could use your help in leading a woodcarving project! Carving Project: Carving a Reindeer Instructor: Betsy M. Cost: $5 This Reindeer was featured in woodcarving Illustrated Magazine. Safety gloves and thumb guard required. Basic carving knives and gouges can be used to carve this cute reindeer. Class is limited to 12 carvers so sign up early.

Saturday Special Woodburning Event Tools: Need a woodburner Date: January 12-14, 2018 (3 Day Class) Class Sponsored by Woodcraft of Richmond Carving Project: Carving a Whimsical Tree House Time:  9am-5pm Instructor:  Kathy Overcash Skill Level: None Class Size: 3-10 Tools Required: Assorted Carving Tools (Large and small gouges, v-tools, and detail knife) Description: During this class, students will carve a whimsical tree house in bark. The tree house will be carved in-the-round by joining two planed pieces of Cottonwood bark. Prerequisite: Some carving experience is recommended, but not required. Tuition: $115.00 Tuition Notes: One blank is included in the cost.
